The government had sought clarification on Dahiya’s representation regarding the inclusion of his name in the case registered in April.

The Punjab and Haryana high court has already dismissed the anticipatory bail application moved by Dahiya last month.

The government had sought details about the circumstances leading to the inclusion of Dahiya’s name in the case.

The officer, who has been evading notices to join the investigations, had alleged that ACB had not followed due procedure to add his name. He had questioned the move since nothing had been recovered from him and claimed that he was not present at the spot.

Sources said the ACB, which submitted the report last week, claimed that due procedure was followed.

As for Dahiya’s involvement, it annexed the statement of an Haryana Skills Development Mission official, who claimed to have given Rs 13 lakh, a part of bribe money received from the training partners, in lieu of releasing the bills.

Referring to the episode of Poonam Chopra, who has been in the Anti Corruption Bureau custody since April, it has annexed the details of chats between her and Dahiya, and their meeting after she received money from Fatehabad resident Rinku Manchanda.

Chopra, a New Delhi resident, was arrested in April while accepting Rs 3 lakh from Manchanda in lieu of getting his bills, worth Rs 50 lakh, cleared.

She had then approached Dahiya and the two had met in presence of ACB sleuths at a bar lounge in Sector 8, Chandigarh.

Chopra is lodged in Ambala jail, while Dahiya has tried getting anticipatory bail from the district court in Panchkula and the high court.
