CHANDIGARH: Undeterred by setbacks in Gujarat and Himachal, the AAP leaders in Haryana are celebrating the MCD win as well as the national party status.
Interacting with mediapersons, Chitra Sarwara, the coordinator of AAP for the North Zone, announced an ‘AAP Yatra’ by volunteers on Saturday to celebrate the national party status.
“So far as election results are concerned, we have gained everywhere. After Punjab, we have ousted the biggest party of the world from New Delhi during the MCD elections. Congress is almost decimated there,” she said.
She said the party was also satisfied with their performance in the assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh, adding, “We are satisfied with the performance, given the circumstances our leaders and party had been targeted. We have fought our opponents from various fronts, including the misuse of machinery and agencies.”
“Anyhow, we have made our presence felt at the municipal polls as well as panchayat polls. We have built up a sizeable cadre in just four months. Now we shall work for strengthening the party by creating more infrastructure,” she added.
