9 fined for washing cars on road in Panchkula

In a first, officials of Panchkula municipal corporation on Monday issued challans to the residents found washing their vehicles outside their homes in various parts of the city.

Panchkula: In a first, officials of Panchkula municipal corporation on Monday issued challans to the residents found washing their vehicles outside their homes in various parts of the city.According to municipal corporation officials, a special challan book was introduced on November 3 for over 24 violations like washing of vehicle on the road and debris of under construction building thrown on roadside.On the basis of this challan book, municipal corporation officials along with the estate officer visited different sectors in the morning hours where challans were issued to 9 persons who were found washing their vehicles on the roadside.MC estate officer Manender Singh said, "We have issued challans to 9 persons, who were found violating the law in different parts of the city."Municipal commissioner Jagdeep Dhanda said, "More challans would be issued in future against the violators till the time situation changes for the better."
