The farmers were demanding adequate compensation for crop damage in the region.
The arrested farmers are Anish from Khatkar village, Harkesh from Kabarchha village, Khatkar khap head Krishan from Safa Kheri village, BKU woman president Anita Devi from Sudkain village, Babli from Khatkar village, and Balkishan Sharma from Kabarchha village.
Uchana Kalan police station incharge Ravinder Singh said that all the farmers had been arrested and produced in court, which sent them to judicial custody for three days.
Jind-based farmer unionist Azad Palwa condemned the incident and accused Dushyant Chautala, who represents the Uchana Kalan segment, of hatching a conspiracy against the farmers.
Palwa said that the farmers had not allowed Chautala to enter his own constituency during the farmers' agitation against the three farm laws, which have now been repealed. He alleged that Chautala was now taking revenge from the farmers.
Palwa said that the farmers would teach Chautala a lesson in the coming elections. He added that the farmers would continue their fight until they get compensation and minimum support price (MSP) for crops.
BKU state president Gurnam Singh Charuni also reached Uchana town to meet the arrested farmers. He said that the farmers would not back down from their demands.
