52 liquor vends put up for e-auction

Chandigarh: A day after successfully auctioning 43 out of 95 liquor vends, the UT excise and taxation department offered the remaining 52 vends for e-auction. The bid submission end date is March 21. The bids will be opened the same day. On March 15, a liquor vend at Palsora village fetched Rs 11.65 crore against a reserve price of Rs 9.60 crore in the e-auction of liquor vends by the UT excise and taxation department. The department received 62 bids electronically against 43 liquor vends having a reserve price of Rs 202.35 crore. The department collected total revenue of Rs 221.59 crore in the form of license fee, an increase of approximately 9.5 % over reserve price.  tnn
