4 arrested for stealing cash, phones

LUDHIANA: The Sarabha Nagar police arrested four labourers accused of robbing two houses at Sunet village on Diwali night. They stole Rs 16,000 and two mobile phones. The arrested accused have been identified as Deepak Kumar of Sunet village, Karan of BRS Nagar, Akhilesh Verma and Rohit Kumar of SBS Nagar. Additional deputy commissioner of police (ADCP-III) Surendra Lamba said Deepak, the main accused, was gambling with two persons when they entered into a fight.He then called his friends and barged into the houses of his two friends and fled with cash and mobiles.
Their another accomplice Bijali is at large, said cops. Police are checking their background.
