3 arrested for using false cheque

Local police has arrested three persons for fraudulently fabricating and withdrawing Rs 1,07,087 after stealing a cheque from the drop box of ICICI Bank, Sector 11 branch.

PANCHKULA: Local police has arrested three persons for fraudulently fabricating and withdrawing Rs 1,07,087 after stealing a cheque from the drop box of ICICI Bank, Sector 11 branch.
The three accused have been identified as Ravi Bhushan and Rajinder Parshad Pande, both residents of Delhi, and Sanjay Sharma resident of Kaithal.
All the accused were produced in court on Friday, which sent Ravi and Sanjay to judicial custody at Central Jail, Ambala while Rajinder Pande, was remanded to police custody till June 5.

The police arrested the accused on the complaint of Jagdish Kumar Anand Pande, a resident of Sector 15 and owner of the cheque, from whose account the accused had withdrawn the money. The three accused had stolen a cheque of Rs 1,187 and withdrew the amount of Rs 1,07,087 after fabricating the same. Two more accused identified as Ashok Kumar and Kanika Munja were still at large, the police said.
A case under sections 380, 420, 467, 471, 120-B IPC has been registered against the five accused in PS-5 on April 21. The police said further investigations in the case are under progress.
