3 arrested for stealing mobiles

Chandigarh: Police arrested three people for allegedly stealing mobile phones from the boot of a Honda Activa scooter in Sector 29 on Friday. Police recovered a total nine mobile phones from the accused. The accused are Mohammad Zahid (25), and Nihal Gautam (20), both residents of Mauli Jagran and Mukesh (28), a resident of Manimajra. Akash of Ram Darbar had reported four mobile phones and a wrist watch were stolen from the boot of his scooter outside a swimming pool in Sector 29 on May 13.During the course of investigation, police nabbed all the accused from forest area at Daria on Friday. Police said one of the accused, Zahid, is a graduate and works in a medicine shop in Manimajra. Gautam used to sell helmets in Sector 21, while Mukesh is unemployed.
