20-year-old dies of drug overdose in Bathinda, 3 held

Bathinda: A 20-year-old youth has died of alleged drug overdose at Rama town of Bathinda on Tuesday. The police have booked five persons under charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.A 45-year-old widow from Rama Mandi on Tuesday filed a complaint that her younger son, 20-year-old Yash, had gone out out with some people. Upon reaching home, he collapsed and when he was taken to hospital, he was declared dead. It is suspected that the case is linked to overdose of chitta (heroin). SHO Kaur Singh said that a case was registered against Sukhjinder Singh, Harbans Singh, Kalu, Veerpal Kaur and an unidentified person, and they have been arrested. MSID: 130443228 413 |
