2 personnel of ITBP die of fever

Two personnel of 51st battalion of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) died here early on Sunday morning.The battalion is camped at Patiala and the two died while they were present in the camp.

PATIALA: Two personnel of 51st battalion of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) died here early on Sunday morning. The battalion is camped at Patiala and the two died while they were present in the camp.
Although the ITBP authorities didn't disclose the probable reasons that could have led to their death, police said the duo had high-grade fever.
Sources said assistant sub-inspector Sharwan Kumar, 52, who belonged to Joginder Nagar district of Himachal Pradesh, and head constable Shatrughan, who belonged to Itarsi district of Uttar Pradesh, had fallen sick on Saturday evening.

They were rushed to Rajindra hospital, Patiala, on Saturday evening where they died on Sunday morning, they added.
The Urban Estate police station has started inquest proceedings under Section 174 of the CrPC.
