2 minor girls go missing in Amritsar; search on

Amritsar: Two minor girls, aged 14 and 17, have gone missing in Amritsar, prompting a police search.According to the family, the girls left home on Monday afternoon for a computer coaching centre but did not return. The family later learnt that they had not reached the institute.After unsuccessful attempts to trace them through relatives, friends and acquaintances, the matter was reported to the police.The family appealed to the police and district administration to intensify efforts to locate the girls.A police official said a case had been registered on the basis of the family's complaint.Police teams are examining CCTV footage from the area and along possible routes taken by the girls. Separate teams have also been constituted to trace them.Police said efforts were underway to locate the girls at the earliest.
