2 attacked near temple, dhaba

Chandigarh: Police booked eight persons in two separate cases of assault in Mauli Jagran and Sector 38 on Saturday night. Ajit of Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, alleged five people attacked him with sharp-edged weapons near a temple in the area in the early hours of Sunday. He alleged the two came in an inebriated condition to attend a jagran (religious function). When he objected, the accused left but not before threatening him.
