1,500 NRIs attend international Gita seminar in London
Kurukshetra: An international Gita seminar was organized by the Kurukshetra Development Board (KDB) at the Logan Hall of University College in London on Saturday. While 174 people went for the event from India, nearly 1,500 non-resident Indians (NRIs) participated.
During the event, several dignitaries gave lectures on the importance of Bhagavad Gita. Haryana minister of industries and commerce Vipul Goel read out chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s message at the gathering.
Those participated in the seminar included Gita scholar Swami Gyananand, Swami Dharamdev, Bhupender Singh, Virender Sharma, MP for Ealing Southall, Ruchi Ghanashyam, Indian high commissioner to the UK, Rajesh Khullar, principal secretary to Haryana CM, Umesh Sharma, president of Hindu Council, London, Haryana CM’s officer on special duty (OSD) Amarinder Singh, Madan Mohan Chhabra, KDB secretary, Vijay Narula, KDB member and Karnal mayor Renu Bala Gupta.
