Woman forester dances in joy seeing rain amid fire in Odisha's Similipal forest

BHUBANESWAR: A video of a woman forester Sneha Dhal erupting in joy and dance, deep inside Similipal Tiger Reserve (STR) has gone viral. The young forester is celebrating the shower that she felt came at a time they and the forest needed it the most.
STR in Mayurbhanj district has been raging in fire for more than three weeks. The rain God perhaps sympathised with the forest personnel’s toiling and started showering abruptly making the woman forester to thank the God in her own inimitable style.“It was like a peacock dancing spreading its wings in joy. We were all so happy to see the video. She is a hard working forester and I know her,” said former honorary wildlife warden (Mayurbhanj) Bhanumitra Acharya.
The young forester is heard saying ‘Oh it is rain..give more rain, more rain’.

Many people showered praises on her after seeing the video. “You are a hero, forester Mrs Sneha Dhal. Thank you for working relentlessly to contain the monstrous blazes that have engulfed Similipal. We are all very grateful for what your are doing!,” Congress Odisha chief Niranjan Patnaik tweeted.
Weeks of raging fire in Similipal Tiger Reserve (STR) in Mayurbhanj district have also pushed the forest personnel also to the brink. They have been trying very hard to douse the fire day and night.
