Watch: Elephant creates ruckus at Odisha college, classes suspended

BHUBANESWAR: Panic ensued in Kanas area in Puri district on Wednesday morning after a wild elephant wandered onto the campus of a local college, causing a major disruption.




The incident unfolded when the elephant, apparently straying from its natural habitat, entered the college premises, sending students and faculty members into a tizzy.

As the elephant moved across the campus, the college administration quickly decided to suspend all classes for the day to ensure the safety of students and staff.

The college authorities contacted the local forest department and informed them of the situation.

Forest officials spring into action

Upon receiving the alert, forest officials from the Puri district reached the college campus. A team of trained personnel was deployed to manage the situation and safely drive the elephant away from the college grounds.
