Koraput: Two persons, including a transgender, were found hanging near a temple in Gopabandhu Nagar area in Jeypore on Wednesday.The deceased have been identified as Raju Machh, a transgender and priest, and Samara Jani of Paika Sahi, who was a mason, police said. Sources said Raju and Samara had developed a close relationship over the past few months.“Two unnatural death cases have been registered and a detailed probe has been initiated,” said SDPO (Jeypore) Partha Kashyap.He added, “A forensic team has examined the spot, and prima facie evidence indicates it to be a case of suicide. However, all possible angles are being investigated to ascertain the exact cause.”Police sources said the duo was last seen together near the temple on Tuesday evening. Locals discovered the bodies early Wednesday and immediately informed police.
