Two die in sevashram roof collapse

KORAPUT: Two persons died at Subaisevashram in Koraput'sSemiliguda block on Thursday after the office roof collapsed. The deceased, KamalLochanHuika and MrutanjayaGuntha, stayed on the school campus as their wives are cooks-cum-attendants in the sevashram.
The building came down when the duo was removing some files and belongings damaged in the rain on Wednesday night, said clerk Rama Chandra Rout.
Admitting that the building was in a dilapidated condition, project administrator of ITDA (Koraput) Tuku Barik said, "We had declared the building unsafe and the headmaster was asked not to use it. Inquiry has started to find out the circumstances leading to the collapse."
