Two bodies handed over to relatives
Bhubaneswar: Two bodies of Bahanaga triple-train accident victims were handed over to their relatives at AIIMS Bhubaneswar on Wednesday. On the basis of the DNA cross-matching reports that came in the first phase, 29 out of 81 bodies have been identified. Till June 30, as many as 81 bodies were yet to be identified. In the second phase, DNA cross-matching reports of five bodies have come in. Reports of other five bodies will come within a few days from the Central Forensic Sciences Laboratory (CFSL), New Delhi. Next of kin of the deceased have been informed by the hospital authorities to take the bodies, official sources said. After one month of the accident, 47 bodies are yet to be identified. Altogether, 294 people were killed in the accident. tnn
