Berhampur: The hill town of Daringbadi will add another destination to its list of tourist interests. It will throw open for public a tribal museum, built on 1100 sq ft area, at the end of August. Set up at a cost of Rs 30 lakh, the museum will exhibit tribal dress, ornaments, instrumental music and several other traditional elements of the Kandha and Kutia Kandha community - one of the vulnerable tribal groups residing in Belaghara area.

"We are in the process of collecting the artefacts from these tribal groups in the district to showcase them in the museum. We will add more items in future," said Ramesh Chandra Behera, project administrator, Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) Baliguda.
Known as 'Kashmir of Odisha', Daringbadi attract many tourists to its coffee plantation, lush hills and nature park every year.
Spread over four hectares of land, the nature park, developed by the state forest department, houses a butterfly park, medicinal garden, 3D theatre hall and an exhibition zone for life-size wild animals and traditions of Kutia Kandh tribe.
