State to set up promotion councils to boost export

Data available with the state government said, in 2015-16, the state government exported metallurgical products worth Rs 10,814 crore followed by electronics and software products worth Rs 2700 crore, marine products of worth Rs 1967 crore and engineering, chemical and allied products worth Rs 1295 crore. In 2016-17, Odisha sets a target to scale up the export performance to the tune of Rs 21559 crore against total Rs 17,346 crore achieved in 2015-16.
