CUTTACK: The BJP fine tuned its election strategy for the ensuing panchayat elections in Orissa at its state executive meeting that kicked off here on Wednesday.
Senior party leaders participating in the two day state executive meeting chalked the roadmap and the strategies to be adopted for the forthcoming polls. Gearing up party cadres for the upcoming elections, senior BJP leader and Orissa in charge Santosh Gangwar asked the partymen to create awareness among the masses about the failures of the BJD government on various fronts and the scams made by the BJD leaders.

He stated that BJP workers will move around the nook and corner of the state and will make the people aware about the various scams such as Dal, mines, coal, NREGA to nail the BJD government in the state.
"BJD government in Orissa has indulged in lots of scams. Be it NREGA scam or providing sub-standard dal to the schoolchildren, or diversion of river water to industrial houses, the BJD government has been cheating the innocent people of the state. The BJP will bring the real face of the Naveen Patnaik before the people of the state," said Gangwar.
The leaders stated that issues about BJD's misrule in the state are plenty, law and order situation in the state has crumbled, while the naxal problem has turned more critical. Even lot many scams have also been unearthed in the state. Party sources said that these points will be the poll plank for the forthcoming elections.
During the two day meeting, party cadres would also discuss about the organization and strengthening of the party in the state.
The leaders also reviewed the position of the party in the state and suggested means to improve the status of the party in Orissa.
"We are reviewing the strength of our organization. Even measures that will improve the position of our party in the state will also be discussed in detail durng the meeting," said Jual Oram, senior BJP leader. Senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu will attend the meeting on Thursday.
