Programme to support entrepreneurs launched

Bhubaneswar: With an aim to support young entrepreneurs, Udyogi Samapark Abhiyan -- a weeklong mentees’ support programme — was launched on Monday.Initiated under Swakalpa, a self-employment and entrepreneurship development programme envisioned under Odisha Skill Development Authority and managed by World Skill Center, Udyogi Sampark Abhiyan was flagged off from Alaka Ashram in Jagatsinghpur. The branded campaign vehicle is scheduled to journey through various districts from October 2 to 7 with the objective to reach candidates who have advanced to the mentee stage under Swakalpa. The journey will engage with other potential individuals to extend awareness about Swakalpa initiative.Under this programme, experts will extend technical support at the doorstep of small entrepreneurs. official sources said. tnn

SKUAST launches agri-entrepreneurship startup training programme

The Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) has launched a skill training program to create agri-entrepreneurs in Jammu and Kashmir. The Ministry of MSME has granted 550 skill training programs to SKUAST for implementation this year. The goal is to transition the farming community from subsistence to sustainable commercial agriculture and double the agricultural GDP in the next five years. Meanwhile, the NCRTC is conducting skill development training programs for farmers along the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor to educate them about modern agricultural techniques and improve their livelihoods.

Programmes welcoming CM start on October 2

The Chief Minister's office is expected to be moved to Visakhapatnam during Dasara, with a series of programs planned to welcome CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. These programs, starting from October 2, will include rallies, cultural activities, and religious prayers. A signature campaign will also be launched to appreciate the decision of making Vizag the executive capital. Special prayers and programs will be conducted at popular temples in the region. The state administration will officially shift to Visakhapatnam on October 24, although the Supreme Court's decision on the capital issue is still pending. Madurai Kamaraj University will conduct the Common Entrance Test for PhD/M Phil admissions on October 8.

Vibrant Gujarat-Vibrant District programme begins

The Gujarat government will hold 37 events as part of the Vibrant Gujarat-Vibrant District program in the lead-up to the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024. These events will be held in all 33 districts and major cities, with the participation of various groups such as MSMEs, startups, and women's cooperatives. The events will include exhibitions, credit-linkage seminars, export seminars, and ODOP bazaars. The aim is to showcase Gujarat's industrial capacity and cultural traditions before the summit in January next year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over the celebration of the summit's 20th anniversary in Ahmedabad.
