Koraput: The Nabarangpur administration on Sunday launched an inquiry a day after a purported video of the child development project officer (CDPO) of Dabugaon misbehaving with a senior woman clerk was shared widely on social media. “The district social welfare officer has been told to conduct an investigation into the incident and submit a report. Appropriate action would be taken based on the findings,” said
Kamal Lochan Mishra, Nabarangpur collector.
The clerk, Santoshi Kumari Mishra, claimed she visited the office on Saturday to request CDPO Geetanjali Maharana to process her salary for an emergency leave taken in June. However, Maharana allegedly abused her verbally and asked her to leave. Santoshi claimed Maharana pushed her to the floor. Maharana denied the allegations and accused her of frequently causing disruptions in office, despite not having any work.
