Pradhan’s push for double-engine govt

Sambalpur: Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday has said Odisha will witness significant development if a double-engine government is established in the state. The Union minister was addressing Garib Kalyan Samavesh at Athmallik in Angul district, which is a part of the Sambalpur parliamentary constituency, commemorating the 9-year completion of the Narendra Modi government on Friday.Addressing a huge gathering, Pradhan said India has reclaimed its global standing with unprecedented growth in the economy and internal security under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi.He also highlighted the substantial funds provided by the Modi government to Odisha through the 15th Finance Commission, mining sector revenue, DMF, national highways, aviation and digital India initiatives.“While Odisha was getting only Rs 5,000 crore as revenue from the mining sector during the Congress regime, the state is now getting Rs 50,000 crore revenue from the mining sector due to the amendment in the mining policy by the Modi government,” said Pradhan.Pradhan said the people of Athmallik and Odisha are getting the benefits under the PMAY, Swachh Bharat, Ujjwala scheme, Khadyanna Yojana, MGNREGS and many more.
