BHUBANESWAR: Patients admitted in the government-run Abhin Chandra Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital here on Tuesday staged a demonstration inside the hospital for being served poor quality of food. "The hospital is serving stale food to patients. Rice left after dinner is mixed in next day's lunch," alleged Kailash Mohaptra, father of a patient.

Hospital authorities conceded to problems in serving food to patients. "After the hospital's only cook retired on January 31, there is no cook. We have hired a contractual cooking helper. Though there are some problems in cooking, I don't think stale food is served. We will inquire into the matter," said principal-cum-medical superintendent Dr S N Mishro.
