BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Tourism bagged the best stall award at Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) Convention which concluded at Indore on Saturday.
More than 1,200 delegates consisting of tour operators and travel agents, airline operators, decision makers, central and state government and other stakeholders from across the country and abroad participated in the three-day event.
Tourism minister Ashok Chandra Panda highlighted the tourism potential of Odisha during his speech. He also underlined the need for air connectivity from Bhubaneswar to Varanasi with special focus on eastern and north-eastern states.
Tourism director Anil Samal and tourist officer R K Pattanayak along with tour operators from the state participated in the event.
