Bhubaneswar: To promote entrepreneurship culture, the MSME ministry will organise a National ST-SC Hub (NSSH) conclave on Tuesday. Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India Girish Chandra Murmu, Union MSME minister of state, Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, will attend the event.
For inclusive growth, the ministry of MSME is implementing the National ST-SC Hub scheme with the objective to increase the capacity of ST-SC entrepreneurs and empower them to participate in the public procurement process and fulfil the mandated target of 45% of overall exports from India. The government is consistently working to empower MSMEs for sustainable growth and to become compatible in the global value chain, official sources said.
The MSME sector plays a significant role in terms of job creation and livelihood. The sector consists of more than 6 crore units employing over 11 crore people contributing significantly to economic growth with nearly 30% of contribution to GDP and over 45% of overall exports from India, officials said. The government is consistently working to empower MSMEs for sustainable growth and to become compatible in the global value chain, they added.
The conclave will be held at Sahid Smruti Bhawan.
