Man held from train for killing Ganjam villager

Berhampur: A 40-year-old man was arrested from the Puri-bound Utkal Express at Brajarajnagar railway station in Jharsuguda on Friday for allegedly murdering another man of their Khamarigaon village in Ganjam district on June 20. The accused, Ram Krushna Mishra, was produced in the JMFC court, Digapahandi, on Saturday. Police seized the motorcycle of the deceased and the car of the accused used for the murder. Police sources said Mishra allegedly ran over Lalit Mohan Mahapatra after hitting the latter’s motorcycle with his car on June 20. Though the exact motive was yet to be ascertained, previous enmity was stated to be behind the murder, police said. tnn
