Man held for killing mother

Kendrapada: A 40-year-old man was arrested on Sunday allegedly for killing his 70-year-old mother in Patuni village under Kendrapada district's Rajkanika police station on Saturday night. Accused Bijay Sahoo, who had returned home in an inebriated condition on Saturday night, first tried to assault his father Nabag han (74) in a fit of rage. His mother, Hiramani Sahoo, tried to stop him when Bijay attacked her with a wooden plank. "He was produced in the court at Pattamundai on Sunday, when his bail was rejected," said Sanjay Kumar Mallick, IIC of Rajkanika
