Bhubaneswar: There is a possibility of light to moderate rain or thunderstorm activities in the state till April 6. The prevailing trend of day temperature would also see no large change in the state this week, an IMD bulletin said.
Nuapada at 37.5°C recorded the day’s highest temperature in the state. Parlakhemundi followed at 37.4°C. Titlagarh town recorded 33.5°C mercury touched 41.8°C on Monday. A similar sharp drop in mercury level was noticed in some more towns, where mercury was hovering at 39°C to over 40°C in the last three days. City recorded maximum of 34.8°C.
IMD rainfall report at evening said Angul recorded major 2 mm during the day. Chitrakonda in Malkangiri district recorded the highest of 37 mm rainfall in the state in last 24 hours. tnn
