Kendrapada gets ready to roll 65 feet chariot

Kendrapada: Tulasi Khetra, which has the second largest wooden chariot in the state at 65 feet, is ready for its annual Rath Yatra. Keonjhar boasts the world’s tallest chariot, standing at a towering 72 feet.
The Rath Yatra of Tulasi Khetra has significant grandeur and popularity, closely following Puri’s car festival. On this occasion, idols of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra will be pulled through the streets.
“As part of the basic preparations for the festival, we have already repaired the road through which the procession will pass and removed obstacles from the 2-km stretch from Baladevjew Temple to Mausima Temple,” said Niranjan Behera, the sub-collector of Kendrapada.
