BHUBANESWAR: After reshuffling 15 district collectors, the state government on Sunday effected changes among 11 IAS officers who are in the rank of secretary.
Aparajita Sarangi's tenure as secretary, higher education, ended within six months as the government transferred her as secretary, panchayati raj, with additional charge of commissioner, consolidation.

Similarly, Rajesh Verma, who had taken over as secretary, school and mass education, in February, has been shifted to the steel and mass education department.
Secretary, commerce and transport, Gagan Kumar Dhal, would succeed Sarangi. Dhal would also serve as commissioner, land reforms. Usha Padhee would take over as secretary, school and mass education, and also function as secretary, textiles and handloom.
Panchayati raj secretary Pradeep Jena has been made secretary, energy, a position he had held before. He will also serve as secretary, information and public relations, and head three state-owned PSUs, namely, Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Idco), Odisha Hydro Power Corporation and Odisha Power Generation Corporation.
Secretary, housing and urban development, Injeti Srinivas has been given additional charge of sports and youth affairs, while Deo Ranjan Kumar Singh, currently secretary, steel and mines, has been posted as CMD, Gridco as well as Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited.
Energy secretary G Mathivathanan has been sent as secrteray, commerce and transport department, and CMD, Odisha State Road Transport Corporation. He will also continue as secretary, parliamentary affairs.

Gridco CMD Hemant Sharma will be the new commissioner-cum-director, employment and employment mission and also director, technical education and training.
Further, Chitra Arumugam, who is director, special projects, panchayati raj, has been given charge as director, TRIPTI, and National Rural Livelihood Mission.
Saswat Mishra, who is CMD, Odisha Mining Corporation, will also function as CMD, OMFED.
On Saturday, the government had cancelled the posting of additional secretary, home, Bishnu Prasad Sahu, as collector, Malkangiri, and instead posted M Muthukumar, who was project director, district rural development agency, Ganjam.
