Ganja worth Rs 35 lakh seized in Jeypore, 3 arrested

KORAPUT: Around 407 kg of

ganja

worth Rs 35 lakh was seized in

Jeypore

on Thursday night. Four persons, including three from Madhya Pradesh, were arrested for smuggling the contraband.

Police sources said the truck carrying the ganja was intercepted near FCI godown under Jeypore Sadar police limits and while frisking the vehicle the contraband was found packed in plastic bags. The drug was being smuggled to Madhya Pradesh from Lamataput area, said police.
