Bhubaneswar: Night temperature at G Udayagiri on Wednesday touched 12.4°C, as minimum temperature started witnessing a gradual fall in several parts of the state in two days. Phulbani at 12.5°C recorded the next lowest for the day in the state, said IMD report.
Similarly, Jharsuguda at 14.5°C saw sharp 4.3°C drop compared to normal, which was also highest drop in the state for the day. Bhubaneswar at minimum 17°C recorded second major 4.2°C drop from normal, the IMD report said. IMD further forecast that minimum temperature is very likely to fall by 2°C to 4°C during next two days in the state.
An IMD bulletin said minimum temperature observed marked fall by about 4°C to 6°C at one or two places over the districts of north Odisha. It also appreciably fell by about 2°C to 4°C at isolated places over the state. Besides dense fog occurred at one or two places in Koraput and shallow fog at isolated places over Sundargarh district.
The bulletin said night temperature were appreciably below normal by about 3°C to 4°C at one or two places. At few places night temperature was also below normal by about 2°C to 3°C, the bulletin said.
