Five people lost their lives in two separate road accidents in Odisha. Three youths died on Puri bypass road in Bhubaneswar when a speeding car collided with their motorcycle. In another incident, two men were killed when their vehicle was hit by an SUV in Mayurbhanj district.

NEW DELHI: Five people were killed in two separate road accidents in Odisha on Tuesday, while a third incident involving a luxury car resulted in property damage but no injuries, according to police reports.
Three youths died instantly when their motorcycle collided with a speeding car on Puri bypass road in Bhubaneswar's Tankapani area early Tuesday morning. The motorcycle was reportedly traveling in the wrong direction when the accident occurred with the car heading towards Puri.
Police have detained the car owner and launched an investigation, including examination of local CCTV footage. The bodies of the deceased, who were residents of GGP Colony in Bhubaneswar, have been sent to Capital Hospital for post-mortem examination.
In a separate incident in Mayurbhanj district, two people were killed when their vehicle was struck by an SUV near Manchabandha under Baripada Sadar police station. The victims were from the Suliapada area, and the collision occurred as the SUV was traveling from Betanati area to Baripada town while the auto was moving in the opposite direction.
In a third incident late Monday night, a speeding luxury car crashed into a roadside house near Unit-4 Shastri Nager area of Bhubaneswar. Police confirmed there were no injuries reported in this incident.
