Contractors arrested for roof collapse

BALASORE: Balasore industrial police on Monday arrested the two contractors who were allegedly involved in the roof collapse case on Sunday at Advanced Plastics Processing Technology Centre (APPTC), six kilometres from Balasore.
Industrial police arrested brothers Nihar Biswal and Saroj Biswal for their negligence in construction work. ""Saroj is an electrical engineer and his brother has no contractor certificate.But they illegally work in construction and have engaged labour," said Industrial police station inspector-in-charge, Paresh Rout.Yesterday between 2 pm to 3 pm the roof of an under-construction building collapsed.
"We will bear the treatment cost of injured persons and will take action against culprits after the team investigates," said Balasore collector Pramod Das.
