BJP president assigns tasks to members
Bhubaneswar: BJP president Nitin Nabin lauded CM Mohan Charan Majhi for performance of the state govt while assigning tasks to various party functionaries. After attending BJP core committee meeting, the BJP chief in an X post wrote that under PM’s guidance and CM Majhi’s leadership, Odisha’s “double engine govt” is taking the state to “a new height of development.”
MP (Balasore) Pratap Chandra Sarangi said the BJP chief asked the MPs and MLAs to frequently visit different parts of their constituencies and stay overnight to understand people’s problems. Party insider said each Lok Sabha member was asked to spend at least seven nights, one each in each of the seven assembly segments under their Lok Sabha segment, every month. Rajya Sabha members were also asked to devote time to different areas.
While ministers were asked to frequently visit districts and review progress of works at the district level, the MLAs were also asked to spend maximum time in their assembly seats.
Party functionaries asked to ensure youths, especially Gen Z, are involved in party and govt activities. The BJP chief will revisit Odisha and review progress of works assigned in July.
