BHUBANESWAR: As part of BJP’s country-wide Gandhi
Sankalp Yatra
on Wednesday, Union ministers
Dharmendra Pradhan and
Pratap Chandra Sarangi, among many other senior
BJP leaders, took part in padayatras across the state.
Speaking at a public meeting in Cuttack, Dharmendra said the
Narendra Modi government has been focusing on Gandhian philosophy of Sarvodaya (progress for all). “The Modi government’s “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Viswas” is based on Gandhian philosophy,” said the Union petroleum and steel minister.
Dharmendra called for everyone’s cooperation to make India free of plastic, conserve water, control population and popularise digital platforms.
Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Union minister of state for animal husbandry, dairying and fisheries and MSME, took part in a padayatra in Balasore while former Union minister and Sundargarh MP Jual Oram took part in a similar event in Sundargarh. BJP MPs, MLAs and party national vice-president Baijayant Panda took part in the programmes too.
A BJP statement said the padayatra will continue till October 30. All the 21 Lok Sabha constituencies and 147 assembly seats will be covered during the period.
