BHUBANESWAR: Aparajita Mohanty, veteran Odia actress and mother of actor Babushaan, on Sunday came on record to say bad company ruined her son in the past two years.
Apparently, she took the side of her daughter-in-law Tripti Satapathy, who on Saturday was seen in a viral video physically assaulting her husband Babushaan and his alleged girlfriend Prakruti Mishra inside a car while both were on their way to the airport to catch a flight to Chennai.
Ever since the Covid lockdown began in March 2020, Aparajita noticed dramatic changes in Babushaan. “He was not the same Babushaan, who used to be sober, lovable and liked to be around his family (wife, kid and parents). In the past two years, in fact, we have lost the real Babushan,” Aparajita told the media.
She also appealed to her son to return to his wife and kid. On Saturday, police registered a case against Babushaan’s wife Tripti for physically assaulting actress Prakruti. Late on Saturday, Tripti also lodged a complaint alleging harassment by Babushaan and Prakruti. Babushaan had tied the knot with his school mate Tripti in 2014. Prakruti had been staying in Mumbai to try her luck in Bollywood.
