Asst engr of rural water supply & sanitation dept held

Berhampur: Vigilance sleuths on Friday arrested the assistant engineer of rural water supply and sanitation (RWSS) department at Kolnara block in Rayagada district for possession of disproportionate assets to the tune of 101% of his known sources of income, including two multi-storied buildings and four high-valued plots.The accused was identified as Malaya Kumar Nayak (59), a resident of Berhampur.The vigilance sleuths on Thursday raided seven locations, including his residual triple-storied building at Soundarya Nagar, Lochapada, his native village in Jagannath Prasad, his two relatives' houses in Buguda, a house in Kamalapur near Golanthara in Ganjam district and two places, including office chamber in Rayagada district.
