Bhubaneswar: As many as 47 artists from across the country participated in a national level solo dance competition organised by the faculty of arts, communication and Indic studies (FACIS), Sri Sri University, on World Dance Day on Friday.
The event was held in the memory of late
Sanjukta Panigrahy
and her guru
Kelucharan Mohapatra. The duo had catapulted the status of Odissi on the global cultural map.
Santosh Ram
won the first prize and received a cash award of Rs 50,000 sponsored by Akshya Parija Foundation and was conferred with the Sanjukta Panigrahi award of excellence. Sourav Mohanty and
