3 held for Cong leader’s murder

Koraput: Four days after the murder of Congress leader Gajendra Nayak in Rayagada district, police arrested all three accused on Wednesday. The accused were identified as Bhago Gouda (50), Bikram Gouda (26) and Akash Gouda (28).Nayak was hacked to death on June 10 while he was working in his field in Sikarlota under Kashipur police station. “The trio had attacked Nayak over past enmity,” said Debajyoti Das, sub-divisional police officer , Rayagada. Sup porters of Nayak had set fire to the houses of the accused. To restore normalcy, adequate forces were deployed in the area, Das added.TNN
