BHOPAL: The humanities stream once again helped Bhopal students score excellent marks in CBSE class 12 examinations, results of which were declared on Thursday.
Zainab Saifee, a student of humanities stream, topped in Bhopal by scoring 98.6%. Zainab is a student of Demonstration School, Shyamla Hills. She also bagged third position in the state. Zainab scored perfect 100 in history and geography while missed to score 100 by just 1 mark in Urdu Core subject.
St Joseph’s Saksham Singh, from commerce branch, secured second position by scoring 98.4% while DPS, Neelbad school student Palak Chouksey (with 98.2%) came third from the state capital. Palak is also a humanities student. Around 6,000 students had appeared in the CBSE Class 12 exams from Bhopal.
Zainab wants to pursue English literature. Similarly, Saksham secured 100 out of 100 in business studies subject. When asked about his planning for career, Sakhsam said, “I want to go in the banking sector.” In mathematics, Saksham missed the perfect 100 marks by only 1 mark.
Palak Chouksey, who hails from Chhindwara, lived in the DPS hostel. “It was consistency that helped me secure such good result,” said Palak. She scored perfect 100 in History and Hindi Musical Vocal.
Father Verghese, principal of St Joseph Co-ed said, “I am extremely happy and proud of the achievement of our students. The hard work of the teachers and students has paid-off. All the students have done well. I wish all students the best for a bright future.” DPS principal Vineeta Malik said, “It’s a moment of pride and elation for all of us for yet another splendid result. Indeed the legacy continues.”
Of total students who appeared from Ajmer region, including Madhya Pradesh, 85% students managed to pass the annual exam which is 1.40% lower than 2018 results. Last year., 86.40% students had cleared the exam.
