'Women empowerment must'

BHOPAL: Forum of Women in Public Sector (WIPS), BHEL Bhopal celebrating the silver jubilee year of its formation on Sunday, conducted a CSR programme on the theme "Health, Sanitation and Education for Women" at Kanha Saiyyan village adopted by BHEL Bhopal, marking the "International Women's Day".
Aruna Yugandhar, president, BHEL Ladies Club was present as chief guest while PK Goyal, general manager (HR) was present as the guest of honour.Event was presided by Dr Sarla Menon, chief medical services, BHEL Bhopal. Around 250 women of different age groups, young girls and children participated in the programme.
Yugandhar in her address said it is important to stress on women empowerment, women health, education and proper environment.
She further laid stress on carrying out "Swachhta Abhiyan" in BHEL adopted villages. Goyal in his address gave details of the forum and CSR activities conducted by BHEL, congratulating WIPS for its silver jubilee celebrations. Mamta Dingrocha, co-cordinator. tnn
