Woman’s decomposed body recovered from river
Bhopal: Body of an unidentified woman was recovered from Parvati river in Nazirabad locality on Wednesday evening. The body seemed to be 4-5 days old and had started decomposing. It is suspected that the woman was swept away from a neighbouring district. Nazirabad police shared the details of appearance and clothes worn by the deceased with police in surrounding areas to ascertain her identity. SHO Nazirabad Sunil Chaturvedi said that Rajgarh police informed Nazirabad police on Wednesday around 5pm that the body of a woman was spotted floating in Parvati river in Nazirabad area. Acting on information, a police team reached Chhoti Amarpur village and recovered the body from the river. Nothing was found which could help in ascertaining her identity. Chaturvedi said that the deceased woman seemed to be aged between 30 and 35 years. She was wearing a green saree and green blouse. A black thread was tied on the ankle of her left leg while she was wearing gold colour earrings, silver colour anklets, mangalsutra and nose pin along with bangles in her hand. ‘Om’ was tattooed on her right hand along with ‘GV’ in capital letters.
