Police said that now a case on charges of murder would be registered against the deceased woman for killing her daughter. During investigations it was revealed that the woman’s husband harassed her regularly due to which she opted for the extreme step.

Ashoka Garden SHO Alok Shrivastava said that Varsha was married to Rajendra Raut, a resident of Pandhurna who worked at an educational institute in Ratibad, four years back. The couple had a 3-year-old daughter Prasvi. They had been staying at Varsha’s younger sister Poonam’s house at Gourishankar Colony in Katara Hills.

Three months back, the couple shifted to Varsha’s parents’ house in Roop Nagar in Ashoka Garden where Varsha worked as a beautician.

On September 29, her mother found Varsha and her daughter hanging from the ceiling. Rajendra was sleeping in his room. Rajendra told police that on Wednesday night, she had slapped Prasvi. The kid cried for a while and went to sleep.
