Woman’s bag with jewellery & cash stolen on Itarsi bus

Bhopal: Unidentified accused stole jewellery worth lakhs and cash Rs 10,000 from a 29-year-old woman’s bag, who was travelling in a bus from Itarsi to Bhopal. The woman came to know about the incident when she reached Nadra bus stand and alighted. Hanumanganj police said that a case has been registered. Police said that the complainant Puja Agrawal, wife of Anand Agrawal, hails from Itarsi. She resides with her husband at Shiv Nagar Colony in Chhola. She stated in her complaint that she had gone to her parents’ home. On Saturday, she boarded a bus from Itarsi to return to Bhopal. Two of her bags were kept beside her seat. There were two gold necklaces, a pair of gold earrings, a pair of silver anklet, silver rings and bangles along with cash Rs 10000 kept in the bag kept under the last seat, police added.
