Woman falls off bike, dies after pack of stray dogs attacks vehicle in Bhopal

BHOPAL: A 46-year-old woman on her way for a medical examination on a bike with her son, slipped off the vehicle after stray dogs suddenly attacked them on April 20. She died while undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Initially, her family members thought that she had suffered a minor head injury and took her to a clinic. However, later when her condition started deteriorating, they rushed her to a hospital only to find that her head injury had caused internal bleeding.While undergoing treatment under the supervision of a neurologist, she succumbed to her injuries.
Investigating officer ASI Kashi Ram said that the deceased Sona Jain, resided with her family members in Pushpa Nagar in Aishbagh. “Sona had a history of illness. On April 20 evening, when her son Arpit was taking her for a medical check-up on his motorcycle, some dogs suddenly came in front of the bike,” said Ram, adding that Arpit lost control over the bike and skidded. Sona fell on the road and sustained head injury while Arpit escaped with bruises.
The woman was taken to a nearby clinic, where the doctor discharged her after applying some stitches on her head. Three to four hours later, when she fell unconscious, she was rushed to a hospital from where doctors referred her to a neurologist
Aishbagh police said that a case has been registered.
