Bhopal: A 44-year-old woman died on Tuesday as she was injured after falling off a scooter due to two stray bulls fighting on the road suddenly coming close to the scooter near Singarcholi railway crossing in the Lalghati area on Monday evening. She was on her way back from hospital with her husband. Koh-e-Fiza police have registered a case.
According to police, the deceased, Megha alias Kiran Sharma, 44, wife of Vivek Sharma, a resident of CTO Bairagarh, was a homemaker, while her husband works as a teacher at a private school.
Police said Megha was feeling dizzy on Monday evening, following which her husband took her to a private hospital in Lalghati for a check-up. After consultation, the couple was returning home on their scooter around 7:30 pm.
When they reached near Singarcholi railway crossing, two bulls fighting on the road suddenly approached very close to their scooter. Frightened by the sudden movement, Megha, who was riding pillion, lost her balance and fell off the vehicle. She suffered severe head injuries. Her husband immediately rushed her back to the same private hospital, where she was admitted. However, she succumbed to her injuries during treatment.
Stray cattle and animals have led to multiple deaths and accidents in the city in the past months.
