Bhopal: Winters have started setting in the state. After an unusually warm fortnight, the night temperatures remained close to 10 degrees Celsius at many places. The dip in the temperature would continue for the next few days.
Met officials said, the temperatures would dip as there is no system impacting the state and dry weather will prevail. Dry cold winds will further bring down temperatures. Impact of a western disturbance around November 18 may lead to marginal rise in temperatures.
Day temperature in Bhopal on Tuesday was recorded at 30.3 degrees Celsius, a degree more than the normal mark, while the night temperature in the city was 13.2 degrees Celsius that was two degrees less than the normal mark. The wind direction in the city was southeasterly and average wind speed was 8 kilometers per hour. The night temperature in Pachmarhi was 8 degrees Celsius.
In the forecast for Bhopal for Wednesday, the met eorological officials said, there would be clear sky and dry weather will prevail in the city. Day and night temperature will be respectively 30 degrees Celsius and 13 degrees Celsius while average wind speed will be 12 kmph. In the forecast for state, the met officials said, dry weather would prevail in the state and there would be no major change from the existing weather conditions. No weather warning was issued for anywhere in the state.
